I would have loved it if additional dropoffs were also shipyards…
if there’s say 10 halite left on the ground wouldn’t that accumulate into incremental 1.1^passing ships speed bumps around the dropoffs ? would be a mess to constantly clean up and jam up movement a lot.
on movement topic…lately I’ve been wondering if I should allocate some ships specifically toward road building to reduce the return costs, not sure if anyone has looked into making specific routes for going out to big halite deposits…
So I had some code that tried to follow the cheapest path from a to b: instant traffic jam. Also longer routes and thus lower scores. There’s something to this I think, but I haven’t found it yet.
